How to Set Up Your Printer

1. Start by unboxing the printer from the packaging.
2. Unpack the printer and remove all the tapes and protective materials.
3. Ensure that you have all the printer parts, including the printer machine , cables, ink cartridges, paper trays, etc.
4. Remove all the protective material from all the printer parts.
5. Open the printer and remove the protective film from the printer control panel.

7. Open the ink cartridge access door and slide the ink cartridges into the box until it snaps into place.

Printer Machine Setup Steps

You can setup the machine using the four different methods:-

Infrastructure Mode

  1. First, write down the SSID and password.
  2. Connect the machine and pc with a USB cable.
  3. Press and hold the Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi) button for one second.
  4. The Wireless indicator starts flashing.
  5. Configure the Infrastructure mode settings.
  6. Enter the SSID and select the SSID from the list flashing there.
  7. Enter the password.
  8. Click on Apply.

WPS

  • Confirm that your wireless access point has WPS symbol.
  • Put your machine within the range of your wireless access point/router.
  • Press the WPS button on your wirelss access point, and press and hold the wireless button on machine for only five seconds.
  • The wireless indicator flashes in blue colour once in every second.
  • When the connection is established, the Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi) indicator lights in blue.

Ad-hoc Mode

  1. Press and hold the wireless button on your machine for one second to turn the wireless function on.
  2. The wireless indicator starts flashing in blue colour light once in every three seconds.
  3. Use a PC or Mac to configure the Ad-hoc mode settings of the machine.
  4. Use your phone device to select the SSID of your machine.

1.Firstly, you need go to the brother website to download the drivers.
2.Then, click “Set Up” on the next page.
3.Now, you need to type in your printer model number. If you don’t know the model number of your printer, check inside the printer user manual or at the backside of the printer.
